Jiro Kanmuri, born Yoshihiro Horiguchi, was a renowned Japanese singer specializing in Enka, a traditional genre. Born in Saitama Prefecture in 1944, he debuted with "Inochi Hitotsu" in 1967 and later signed with Columbia Records in 1976. Throughout his career, he released hit songs like "Tabi no Owari ni" and "Sakaba," earning numerous music awards and performing three times on NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen. Kanmuri passed away on January 1, 2024, at the age of 80 due to heart failure, leaving behind a legacy in Japanese music.
